1st Nutrishield Workshop – Hospital La Fe, Valencia, Spain

The 1st Nutrishield workshop, co-located with the 3rd Nutrishield project meeting, took place on 26th September 2019 at the Health Research Institute La Fe, Hospital La Fe, Valencia, Spain.

The workshop which was followed by 40 participants on site and an additional 40 remote/online participants evolved around the importance of optimized nutrition for infants and lactating mothers.

Two invited speakers provided the latest findings in advances in neonatal nutrition (Dr Miguel Saenz de Pipaon) and the importance of breast feeding towards ensuring optimum infant nutrition (Dr Salome Laredo Ortiz).

This was followed by presentations from Nutrishield partners which presented the overall project vision towards personalised nutrition and the technical means under development in order to foster the wide adoption of fact-based personalised nutrition in a non-intrusive, intuitive and user-friendly way.


NUTRISHIELD aims at creating a personalised platform for the young. The platform will consist of novel methods & techniques, which analyse a wide range of biomarkers related to nutrition and health disorders.
